The company’s name comes from the Arabic “‘Uthman” عثمان, which means “courageous”. Etihad Airways has five subsidiaries including Etihad Regional which operates regional flights within the Middle East and Etihad Aviation Engineering which provides maintenance services for their aircrafts.
